Clovelly

A popular residential and tourist area, Clovelly is a quiet beach suburb located to the north of Randwick and Coogee. The small beachside community was once known as Little Coogee before being renamed Clovelly after a fishing village in Devon , England .

With good public transport available, Clovelly is only a short distance from Randwick , Bondi, Coogee and Sydney City . Take a stroll or jog along the Coastal Walk as it stretches around the beach and parkland area at Clovelly Bay . With toilet facilities, picnic and playground areas it’s the perfect place for family and friends to gather and enjoy the laid back coastal atmosphere.

The sheltered waters offer a safe haven for people of all ages to enjoy playing, swimming and snorkelling in the ocean. Discover the amazing array of marine life that lives in the tranquil bay as you explore the undersea world. A ramp on the northern side of beach provides access for the less mobile and the ocean pool has steps to make it easy to enter the water. A large car parking area is located at the end of Clovelly Road, next to the Surf Life Saving Club.

Sit back and enjoy the perfect ocean views over Clovelly Bay and choose from the delicious menu at the Sea Salt Café (9664 5344) just 10 metres from the water’s edge.

Explore the streets of Clovelly and the many beaches and park lands surrounding The Sports Coast on bicycle. Ride through the quiet streets and discover some of the beautiful historic homes and buildings.
